Step 3a, adult relationships
Intimacy, communication, needs, boundaries, and how you relate in adult life.

Step 3 is two independent weeks, and you choose for yourself whether to take one, the other or both. 3a is about your adult relationships and 3b about the existential questions. Once you have taken Step 1 and Step 2, you can take them in whichever order you like.
Two independent weeks, each answering a question of its own.

This week is about how you are together with another adult. Closeness and sexuality, communication, boundaries, needs, the masculine and the feminine, how you act when the two of you end up in conflict, and the patterns of attachment you learned early, that is, your own ways of seeking and avoiding closeness.
It is a life-affirming week, and at the same time the one that most reliably stirs up old wounds. The two belong together, because it is in closeness to another person that the old wounds show themselves.
It is a fine week to take together with a partner, and it suits you just as well if you live alone and perhaps long for a relationship, because the work is about your way of relating and not about one particular person.
The week rests on named theory that many will recognise, Gottman's relationship research and the five love languages among others, and the tone is different from Step 1, lighter and more playful.

This week is the hardest to describe briefly, and it is also the most open. The question it asks is who you are beyond body, thoughts and feelings.
This makes room for what is sometimes called spirituality, but the week is neither judgemental nor tied to any faith, so you need no belief and no affiliation in order to take it. It is about loosening your grip on the habitual ideas of who you are and of what is possible, and seeing what remains when you do.
To take Step 3 you need to have taken Step 1 and Step 2, with us or at the former Mullingstorp. If you took the courses there, they count. The reason is simple, because in order to work with how you relate to other people today, you first need to have seen which patterns you carry with you from home.
The two courses are independent of each other, and you choose for yourself whether to take one, the other, both, or neither of them.
One of the weeks looks at what happens between people, and the other turns inwards, towards identity, presence and existence.
How do I meet closeness, intimacy, needs and boundaries in adult relationships?
Who am I beyond the ideas about myself that have become habitual?
Which theme feels most alive for me now, after Steps 1 and 2?
They rest on the same foundation but look in different directions, and you do not need to take 3a before 3b or the other way round. Perhaps you already sense which of them is yours, and if not, we are glad to talk it over.
Intimacy, communication, needs, boundaries, and how you relate in adult life.
Presence, identity, and the question of who you are beyond habitual ideas.
Both weeks build on what you did in Step 1 and Step 2.
The week starts on Wednesday evening and ends on Thursday, seven days and eight nights. The dates below include both the arrival day and the departure day.
